Octo-Cogno – What Is It?

Octo-Cogno – What Is It?

FinTech Management Services (FTMS) offer to our clients a package of our services and apps, the details of which can be seen elsewhere on this  website. This enables businesses to outsource some or all of their marketing – at an affordable price -allowing operational managers to concentrate on controlling daily activities.

The package includes automated collection of customer data which may then be used for targeted marketing purposes. And regular postings on our clients’ behalf of promotions and blogs to their website and on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Google Business, LINE, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok etc.

The idea being that no matter which platforms people use, they are continually hearing about our clients’ business.

We have given the package the name “Octo-Cogno”. Why?

Well, it relates to the Octopus, which is famous for its eight limbs (tentacles). But it has even more brains than arms at nine. The primary brain does all the decision-making, and one smaller brain is within each of the eight arms. With so many appendages, it needs the extra processing power to sort out all the information coming in, allowing the arms to perform tasks while the primary brain controls everything. As if eight arms and nine brains weren’t enough, an octopus also has three hearts for good measure! It has in-built colour-changing cells that allow it to blend into any environment. If an octopus loses a tentacle it can still manage with the other seven.

FTMS has three hearts. One for our Clients’ business, one for marketing and one for design. We have nine brains that we can use to build your marketing and branding strategy. We create content that sticks out like tentacles. Like an octopus we are versatile and can change colour depending on our surroundings. That means whatever your business is and looks like, we are able to help.

The central “brain” is your company website (เว็บไซต์) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. FTMS offer website development and re-design services, with a focus on search engine and content optimisation (SEO – การเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพ กลไก ค้นหา). Also, customer database management allowing targeted marketing through segmentation (การตลาดที่กำหนดเป้าหมาย).

Customer Data Collection (การเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลลูกค้า)

Our prime app for data collection is Purple WiFi, “smart” internet hotspot software that enables the capture and analysis of your customer’s contact data. We also offer a Contactless QR Code Menu app via which your customer’s email address may be captured. We can also gather the email addresses of people who email you with a query, to place an order, or to subscribe to a newsletter, say. All the email addresses collected are verified, and stored in a database, which can be segmented.

Reputation Management and Reviews (การจัดการชื่อเสียง และบทวิจารณ์)

We at FTMS have good experience of optimizing Google Business, in our view a key digital platform. We add all the data your venue needs for it to be found, and the features Google requires for SEO. Similarly, and equally important, if yours is a hospitality or entertainment venue, is TripAdvisor. We can optimize it, adding all the data your venue needs. Purple WiFi provides a link to TripAdvisor enabling customers to, optionally, leave a review.

Social Media Posts and Blogs (โพสต์และบล็อก โซเซียลมีเดีย)

Creative unique content is one of the most important factors in boosting your online presence. High quality, original content will bring you more visitors. Also, if you want to grow your social media presence online you will need to do more than just create a Facebook account and update it once a week. We can help you identify and select your audience by their interests, language and location, and create or share hand-curated content based on the categories that you and your audience are most interested in, and that connects with and creates value to them. We can publish a monthly Newsletter on all platforms and email to subscribers. We can schedule, queue, and publish content across all of your social media channels according to time zones, and provide analytic reports on how well your campaigns are doing. Such channels would include Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, WordPress, Blogspot and many others.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO – การเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพกลไก ค้นหา)

SEO is the practice of optimizing your web pages, blogs and posts to aim for a high position in the search results of, not only Google, but also the many other search engines that serve millions of search queries per day. Engines such as Bing, Yahoo, Baidoo, Ask, AOL, and (our favourite at FTMS), DuckDuckGo. SEO focuses on improving the rankings in organic – i.e. non-paid-for – search results. Whatever the size of your organization, if you have a website and you want to get more traffic, in our opinion SEO must be part of your marketing efforts. SEO should also be applied to Social Media postings (sometimes known as SMO – Social Media Optimization).

Videos and Images (วีดีโอและรูปภาพ)

Video and image posting, these days, is one of the most powerful and effective digital marketing tools. It promises a higher return on investment (ROI) than other marketing methods. It is more efficient to introduce your business products and services using a short promo video or a teaser video, e.g. YouTube Shorts, Facebook and Instagram Reels, and TikTok videos. We recommend to our clients that their staff and customers be encouraged to take their own videos, and submit them to us for posting on to the various platforms. If required, we can quote for providing consultancy, training (staff), content suggestions, and scheduling.

Images are more powerful than words and can leave a strong impression on consumers.

Influencers – KOLs and KOCs

You may well have already heard of KOL (Key Opinion Leader) or Influencer Marketing. That has been a powerful marketing and sales tool for quite a few years, and will continue to be so. Recently there has been a shift to KOC (Key Opinion Consumer) Marketing. KOCs are regular consumers that enjoy sharing their product and service reviews on social media. With the impact that reviews can potentially have, it can be advantageous for your business to work with KOCs as part of your overall marketing strategy.

eCommerce (อี คอมเมิร์ช)

eCommerce is the buying and selling of goods and services over the Internet. Almost anything can be purchased through eCommerce today. It can be a substitute for brick-and-mortar stores, though some businesses choose to maintain both. eCommerce operates in four market segments, including:

  • business-to-business,
  • business-to-consumer,
  • consumer-to-consumer, and
  • consumer-to-business.

FTMS has experience of building eCommerce websites, based on Shopify or, especially WooCommerce, with a Payment Gateway, such as PayPal or Stripe.

Digital Payments (การชำระเงินดิจิทัล)

Digital, or contactless, payments are pretty much what they sound like—a way of paying for goods or services without cash, and without physically needing to swipe your card in a machine or pass it to another person. If you’ve even seen a passerby tap their phone at a checkout counter to pay for their latte, you’ve witnessed the technology in action. As customers increasingly demand expediency—and now, assurances that waiters and waitresses for example will stay physically distant—more brick-and-mortar businesses are turning to “tap-to-pay” systems. Cardholders enrolled in services such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, can use contactless payment platforms on their smartphones, watches or other wearable devices for fast and easy transactions at point-of-sale (POS) terminals.
